With form-simple-wizard, labels & entries show up in Object Navigator,
but not on page canvas.

Also, I was able to save the GFD so generated, and open and display the
form with GNUe Forms 0.7a1+bzr, albeit with deprecation warnings, being
legacy GFD format.

Of course, the lack of displaying form elements, is a serious impediment
to usability.  On the other hand, current state might be just enough to
facilitate proceeding to change Designer to generate the new managed-layout
DTD gfd.
