No. Probably xml-rpc's fault to work well enough so there was no need to
look at corba :)

They are there, it's the numeric datatype.

They are definitely missing and somewhere on our TODO list. Main problem
was the very different way databases handle blobs.

Göteborg is quite far away for most of us (Austria, Hungary).

Depending on where exactly you are from, it might be interesting for to
come to the FOSDEM in Bruxelles. I will be there at the FSFE booth and
will most probably meet other GNUe developers there.
