gnue-forms grid implementation using wx.grid

Hello!

I am thinking about implementation of wx.grid based grid
control for gnue-forms. The reason is the current gnue-forms grid
can't paste tabular data from clipboard. I have found some mention
regarding the existing implementation
(http://www.kernel-traffic.org/GNUe/latest.html#5: "some guys have
implemented a grid-control (derived from wx.grid)"). 

Can I cast a glance at that code if possible?

What prompted gnue-forms developers to implement the home-maid grid
for wx26 uidriver while wxPython has wx.grid?
