This is why > I find it strange that the default download is 2.5.) ---- judging from Reinhard's experience and mine (Fedora FC-2), it would appear that the rpm distro's have centered on 2.4.2.4/GTK2 and there was a fix to the fedora version that seems to have worked out some of the issues that I had.
