The example given for xargs -o is this:

   grep -lz PATTERN * | xargs -0o vi

It should be uppercase Z:

   grep -lZ PATTERN * | xargs -0o vi

grep's -z option indicates to treat input and output data as sequences of
lines terminated by NUL.

grep's -Z option indicates to output a NUL after each filename in the output.
