Follow-up Comment #11, bug #68223 (group findutils):

I vaguely remember seeing a similar error due to MacOS shipping a very ancient
version of Bison. I would install a recent version from Homebrew, or wherever
else, and then set the BISON environment variable before invoking the
configure script.
