Hi,

all algorithms are described in the papers from 1999-2002 you can find at:

http://viper.unige.ch/doku.php/research:publications#before_2003

sub1 is a subalgorithm and not usuable in itself. If you use the php 
interface you can modify the various algorithms and see the results 
directly.
