Hi David=2C

I found in your Perl client=2C it is able to select a algorithm from a =
list.=20

I also want to make a selection of algorithms like filtering by color o=
nly=2C by texture only=2C and by combination of color and texture. Can you=
tell me how I can achieve this?

Should this be done by using gift-add-collection.pl=2C or by running gi=
ft server=2C or make any configuration changes?

By the way=2C by using GIFT=2C can we match images by color=2C pattern=
=2C and shape separately? or a combination of two or three of these three c=
riteria/

    Thanks.

Sorry=2C I haven't had anything to do with any PHP interfaces. You
might be able to work out what you need to do from my (very old)
    Perl code...

     =20

Thanks alot and I finally made it working in my web browser.=20
      Thanks for your good work.

     =20

Are you also aware of any working PHP interface which I can
use? the one I found in
      http://hci.uni-konstanz.de/gundelsw/GIFT_PHP/PHP_Gift_2004-10-07.zip
seems lacking of some files and I can not make it work on my web
      server.

     =20

          Please advise.

     =20

      Thanks

         Hi David=2C

       =20

           Thank you for your help.

       =20

           I found a perl client download: http://viper.infotech.monash.edu=
.au/~davids/PerlMRMLClient.tar.gz

       =20

            Is this written by you?

     =20
     =20

Yes=2C that's the one=2C as the host and name should suggest.

     =20

When deploy this client in my web server=2C and access it=2C I
found the image link generated in the web page is something like
        "file:///home/photos_thumbnails/P1010056_thumbnail_JPG.jpg"=2C
        and "file:///home/photos/P1010076.JPG"=2C they
can not be displayed on my browser.

     =20
     =20

They should be=2C if your browser is running on the same machine as
the server. That is a valid local URL.

     =20

Can you you tell me what's the problem?. I did the image
        indexing by the following command:

       =20

            gift-add-collection.pl /home/photos

        =20

     =20
     =20

If you want them to be publicly visible on the web=2C you need to
put your image collection in a folder that is mapped to the web=2C
      e.g. '~/public_html'. This is addressed in Doc/gift-guide.sgml.
Look in the section 'Indexing a collection | Handling files in
      public_html'.

     =20

      Regards=2C
