I am looking to employ Research Assistants or PhD students to work at Queen Mary, University of London, on multimedia retrieval tasks in an EU funded project. This includes tasks such as cross-media retrieval (i.e., combination of feature extraction and metadata searching to retrieve images related to audio) and multimedia synchronization (aligning retrieved spoken audio with a retrieved transcription). The project is funded for 2 and a half years and is scheduled to commence May 1st or soon after.
