-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello hackers, It is my great pleasure to announce the release of GLOBAL-4.7.1. You can download it from <http://www.gnu.org/software/global/download.html>. New features: * Support home_etc(3) facility on PLD Linux/GNU. * gctags: Pick up external defined functions as symbols. Fixed bugs: * GLOBAL-4.3 and the later cannot treat shadow tree. * GLOBAL doesn't work with the GNU sort(1) based on POSIX 1003.1-2001. [Additional explanation of the latter bug] On some recent GNU/Linux system, the following errors might happen. $ gtags sort: invalid option -- 1 Try `sort --help' for more information. sort: invalid option -- 1 Try `sort --help' for more information. .... $ Internally, GLOBAL uses sort(1) with +POS1[-POS2] style option. But on the recent Linux distributions, sort command does not accept such style as a obosolete one. To solve this problem, we changed the call form of sort(1) to satisfy POSIX 1003.1-2001. So, please replace your GLOBAL with this version if you meet the above errors.
