Is this documented somewhere?

Just for the record. When I do not have global available for any case I
use as a fallback etags. The etags binary works trasparently from
tramp. If You login with a password or without a password "it works". The purpose of tramp is
this "accessing remote filesystem transparently". Perhaps gtags.el could
be improved for transparent access through TRAMP.
