Searching for underscore beginning symbols

Hi,

I have just installed GLOBAL-4.4 and I'm having big trouble looking for 
symbols beginning with __ or _ (i.e., double or single underscore). This 
is a showstopper for me, since I'm planning to use GLOBAL during 
libstdc++-v3 development. Thanks for any feedback.
