gtags processing of files without extensions

Hi folks,

I've inherited a Python code base of which the files are missing extensions
but marked as executable.

Modifying a python parser to handle these is easy enough by checking the
shebang directive, but I haven't found a way of getting gtags to try to
parse these files.

Does a method exist to convince gtags to pass the extensionless file names
to a parser of my choice?
