For this sort of question, you are more likely to get attention on lilypond-devel than bug-lilypond (which is not subscribed to by all developers, while it is subscribed to by some people who aren't developers but just accept some of the job to read bug reports and create an issue if they look valid and not a duplicate of an existing issue). That being said, I think it would be easiest to look at this if you actually submit the merge request, which displays the test differences.
