PATCHES - Countdown to August 8

NB: I'm off for my annual volunteering trip to BC, from Friday the 8th 
to Wednesday the 20th. Granted that the North Okanagan, Boundary 
Country, and East Kootenay aren't the ends of the earth, but internet 
access might be spotty, so countdown reports shpould be at the usual 
times/dates, but not completely guaranteed.
