From the musical point of view, the idea is to erase the exact ratios in “\time 3,2,2,3,2 12/8”, as in real performances, there is quite a deviation. Then for the MIDI output, I approximated these respectively by \time 5,3,3,5,3 19/8 \time #'(7 5 5 7 5) 29/8 One way to find such rational approximations is by the use of continued fraction convergents. When I compile these examples now, I get an error that the character ‘√’ is not present in the font emmentaler-16.
