FWIW, so do I.

After re-reading the 2023 thread, I think it would be weird to simply 
stop doing the grand-replace without having a newly designed system of 
copyright notices: We're in a state where the files contain copyright 
ranges of the form X-Y where X is the year the file was created (which 
is certainly fine) and Y is the last year somebody did the grand-replace 
- which is a bit arbitrary. So, it seems easiest to just make sure that 
Y stays as close to now as possible, i.e. keep doing the grand-replace 
every so often. Also, I'm not sure who might be willing to invest the 
work necessary to do the transition to another system of "legal 
boilerplate".
