Hi: I am just starting to work on building Lilypond and encounter some essential issues. I am working on a Debian 12 desktop system. First I downloaded LilyDev-3 and following the instructions to start the container. When I started to configure the source code by running ../configure in the build directory, the configuration process stopped with an error as follows:: ======================================================= checking for bdw-gc... no configure: error: Package requirements (bdw-gc) were not met: No package 'bdw-gc' found Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you installed software in a non-standard prefix. Alternatively, you may set the environment variables BDWGC_CFLAGS and BDWGC_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config. See the pkg-config man page for more details. ====================================================== Then I tried to work on the source code directory directly under Debian 12. The same error arose. I found the function of bdw-gc is provided by libgc1 in Debian so I installed it, but it does not help. Please help. Tim Yang
