You're right, but I meant it regarding point 1.

Even though English is my first language, communicating clearly in 
writing has always taken me a lot of time, and that is not likely to 
change.  (I spent two hours on the original post and it probably 
deserved three.)  Please "cut me some slack" and ask for clarification 
as needed.  I don't want to disengage prematurely, but it will become 
necessary if you persist in interpreting my words in the worst possible way.
