Sabon is, as mentioned in its Wikipedia article, a version of the 
fonts more broadly known as Garamond. I suggest that before 
spending money, you try out EB Garamond, a very well done free 
version of Garamond's designs.  It is not exactly the same thing 
as Sabon, because Sabon appears (to my eyes) a bit modernized and 
a bit simplified, and perhaps not everyone will like the 
difference - but it's worth looking. EB Garamond is (in my very 
small experience) quite easy and convenient to use, and has 
OpenType features that allow useful modifications depending on how 
you want it to look.

My preferred version of it is the one from its original developer; 
there is an updated version by another developer, which is clearly 
better in some ways; I personally like it less, but you might 
disagree.
