Hello, Thank you, Karl, for pointing to the definitions of the existing \<language>Chords commands. The solution provided by Werner is exactly what I was looking for. Regarding "defining a new way to name chords". This convention is not an invention of myself, nor is it "new". I checked in one of my older printed books from 1952, and found it is used there. It is also this convention that I have seen in almost all printed books with chords in Norway. Whether it is a good convention is an entirely different discussion, and I might even go so far to say that it would have been better if it was never established in the first place! Again, thank you both for your help - it is much appreciated! Best, Eirik
