You stumbled across a limitation of the current implementation of
BendSpanner.details.target-visibility.
Per default the target is omitted, which does not play nicely with
Beams starting there.

Thus the work-around is to set BendSpanner.details.target-visibility
true and TabNoteHead.transparent true, i.e.

\new TabStaff \fixed c {
   \tabFullNotation
   < g'-1\1 >8[   < f'-4\2 >8]
   < d'-1\2 >8
   \once \override BendSpanner.details.target-visibility = ##t
   < c'-3\3 >8 \^
   \once \override TabNoteHead.transparent = ##t
   cih'
   < d'-1\2 >8   < g'-1\1 >8
   < f'-4\2 >4
}

Alas, I have the impression there's something wrong with the durations ...
