Do just say "Is a directory"

$ mail.mailutils
Cannot open mailbox /home/jidanni/Maildir/: Is a directory
No mail for jidanni

$ ls $MAIL
ls: cannot access '/home/jidanni/Maildir/': No such file or directory

Therefore "Is a directory" isn't the most clear thing to say!
