The mailing list archives that are available via the Mailman web interface are scrubbed of email addresses, even within messages; see: http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/make-alpha/2014-10/msg00004.html So, you can't trawl the archives for email addresses. If email collectors are subscribed to the mailing list directly then they already have all these email addresses (after all Denis and Eli both send email to the list and their From: addresses are clearly available). The only options I can think of are either not send commit info to the mailing lists, or else to ask the folks managing Git on Savannah to add a filter to the commit info before it's sent to the mailing list... clearly we can't remove the email addresses from the commit messages themselves!
