Did you follow my advice and remove $(MAKEFLAGS) from the line?  That
has to go, as the very first step.

No thanks.  Instead what you need to do is take the effort to reproduce
the issue you're having with the smallest possible example, that doesn't
depend on any other part of your environment, then post that.
