problem with mod -R state variables initialization

There is a problem with "mod -R" when a state variable is
initialized with an input (forcing) function (to be taken at initial time).
This works for the native mcsim mod, but not for the R-ized version (the
forcing function is not recognized as such)...

Has anyone had a problem with that before?
