mcsim.perc: command not found

I can "configure" and "make" mcsim, but the "make check" masses the first 
two tests and fails the next:
        Testing Lsodes with perc.lsodes.in ...
        ./samples/perc/Makefile.in: line 44: mcsim.perc: command not found
        -FAILED-
Anyone know how to fix this problem?  Thanks in advance.
