mixvm: Segmentation Fault

I had mdk-1.0 compiled and installed on MS Windows Me/Cygwin-1.3.13-2.
The mixasm compiles an example from TAOCP nice and quietly, but mixvm
dies
with error message:
Segmentation fault(core dumped).

I also tried on MS Windows98 SE/Cygwin-1.3.13-2, and got the same
result; mixvm dies with seg. fault.

If I have to mention it, I didn't include gui features(gmixvm, etc.)
yet.
Please help!
