Hello all,

I am glad to be able to announce the immediate availability
of the GNUmed 1.8.3 Maintenance Release. It features the
following bug fixes and/or minor improvements:

	NEW: tool: fingerprint_db

	IMPROVED: forms: log pdflatex version

	FIX: meds: drug data source selection [thanks bganglia892]
	FIX: meds: ADR URL configuration [thanks bganglia892]
	FIX: vaccs: ADR URL configuration [thanks bganglia892]
	FIX: tests: LOINC import fixup [thanks bganglia892]
	FIX: db: whitespace in connection parameters [thanks kikiruz]
	FIX: startup: startup without console fails [thanks Marc]
	FIX: top panel: incorrect age-at-birthday display
	FIX: i18n: locale activation

Client installation:

 Easily installable packages for your platform of choice
 will be available shortly.

 Meanwhile you can run the client from a downloaded tarball
 or use the net based client installer:

 which you need to download, make executable, and run.

Database installation / upgrade:

 Note that this release, as usual, does NOT require a
 database upgrade. However, fixes to the database may
 have been provided which you can (and should) install
 with either

	$> gm-fixup_server 22

 or

	$> cd .../server/bootstrap/
	$> ./fixup-db.sh 22
