RE: Interested in being a dev

Hello!

Although I'm just an user-doctor and helper of the project as well, I 
would think you could contribute by testing the program and reporting 
bugs and their fixes!

Karsten is the main developer and leader of the project, who encourages 
downloading, using, testing and reporting.

I would think you could contribute for starters (and again, I'm sure 
Karsten will come by to correct any wrong info I were to give you):

- downloading and installing GNUmed on your OS. GNUmed is maintained to 
work on debian mostly, so I'm sure you would have things to debug to 
make it work on NIXOS... Or maybe try installing on debian through a 
virtual machine?...

- Use the program and report bugs/their fixes. You could start imagining 
scenarios of what a clinician/doctor would need to do with the EMR and 
try them out, find bugs along the way, try to fix them, report the fixes 
through here maybe or on github?...

- ... and any other thing you can think of when trying the EMR!

Personally, I introduced myself to this and managed to make my (small) 
contributions by being a user first, needing to translate, then 
understanding a bit more about the program, debuggind along the way... 
although I am still a python newbie myself :)

I'd say the best way to contribute, from my perspective, is to use the 
program extensively and think about ways to fix bugs that pop up along 
the way?
