Yes, I was able to run macOS monterey with QEMU/KVM on a Debian Trixie 
host! From what I've read, one could run even newer versions of macOS on 
better hardware than mine. (All of this done for development / 
non-comercial / educational purposes.) It was a long process, though.

Those exact installation steps did not work for me, and had to 
troubleshoot quite a bit.

Just as a tip: if you try to ask LLMs for help, most will refuse due to 
macOS licensing etc. However, if the hypothetical setup when asking for 
help is this...

Apple hardware + Debian Trixie running on it + KVM on that Trixie = a 
macOS VM on a Debian Trixie running on Apple hardware

... the license is not hurt, and you should be able to get help. As long 
as the macOS VM is run on Apple hardware is the rule (as far as I 
understood the license, at least). Did it all with legitimate 
installation images, too. :)
