Hi Chris. Thanks for the info in details. As I asked before, why the 
upstream didn't merge this patch since 2011.

I didn't use this with my build and the output *looks* ok so far. 
'configure --help' gives a --with-build-sysroot option but not above 
one. Which one I should use.

When this is set, will the folders under /MinGW overwrite the /lib, 
/include, and even /bin which are from MSYS.

Regarding the packaging, did you use mgwport, some scripts or manually 
for Binutils. Thanks.
