Our GCC-4.8 is broken

Guys, IMO, our release of gcc-4.8.1 has been an unmitigated disaster! Broken packages; bugs such as https://sourceforge.net/p/mingw/bugs/2108/ This doesn't do a lot for our credibility; (the more so, since it now seems that Earnie is remaining silent regarding the issues). We need a high priority plan to fix this.
