Okay, good point. I would like to make a slight change as Earnie suggested 
in that thread, to have the DirectX headers install in the normal w32api 
include directory instead of in a "directx" subdirectory. Do you have any 
objections? It seems fine to have the source in include/directx and 
lib/directx, though it's not entirely consistent with the current structure 
(DDK is different because it's not part of the MS Platform SDK). Anyone 
disagree?

A few minor fixes I will apply:
- remove dinput.c from SOURCES in lib/Makefile.in
- add *.c and *.h to DISTFILES in lib/directx/Makefile.in
