prevent ReadFile and QueryAllInformationFile on stat()

Hi. Does anybody know how to prevent the stat() call read the first three bytes of the file and be satisfied by just GetFileAttributes() ? This slows down a samba share listing a lot. I'm using Windows 7, hence SMB2 and the metadata caching is not disabled in registry, but stat() queries a lot more than that.
