Open a Windows CMD window from MINGW shell

Hello all, is there a way to open a Windows CMD window from MINGW shell, on Windows 10 ? If I type "cmd" in MINGW, it opens the CMD shell directly in the MINGW shell itself. I tried to run a BAT file with "cmd /k" in it, and it also opens CMD prompt right inside MINGW.
