Follow-up Comment #3:
I didn't think of output to stderr also having that effect. (bug #68006 was a
reminder for that.)
The following command still messes with the synchronization of the output with
the console that is used for the command window widget on Windows:
[a, b] = system ("gcc -version")
Same steps to reproduce as in comment #0. But replace `system ('echo 1')` with
the command from above.
Maybe, we'll need the patch that creates a new console for `pipe` after all.
Resetting status to "confirmed".
