That's what I understood, but I was a bit opportunistic :-) IMO think
applying that "workaround" would made the io code more robust as well. AFAICS
it doesn't quite harm.
I'll make a new crossbuild but it may be tomorrow late before I can test (mxe
builds take ages). Or are you confident enough to apply the change anyway?
RC2 is just out so no hurry I'd say.
