[bug #67498] Error when using save -binary

Follow-up Comment #25, bug #67498 (group octave):

Unfortunately, the error is still present, but the error message is
different:

error: save: unable to save to modes.bin Resource device

Actually, the file is written correctly. If I rename the file removing
_saving_in_progress from the extension, I can load the file, and it contains
all data saved.

save now produces the same error also if the save command is entered manually
in the command window.
