Follow-up Comment #16, bug #55143 (group octave):
AFAICS nothing in pkg .m and private functions has been touched w.r.t. this
bug report, so yes, this bug is still valid.
Too bad this bug report sank back deep in our attention in the course of
releasing Octave 11; IMO the fix is probably very easy but needs careful
checking for side effects.
In the coming days I'll have a look. The fix can come in an Octave-11 bug fix
release. After all this has been lingering on for over 6 years w/o much
complaints.
I think it'll boil down to what I wrote in the last lines of comment #14,
probably enclosed in an "if (ispc)" block as this bug only occurs on Windows.
