[bug #60968] broadcasting not implemented for "special" matrix types

Follow-up Comment #8, bug #60968 (group octave):

The two reports that you mentioned refer to sparse and diagonal matrices.

Did you check that this is also working correctly for other "special" matrix
types like permutation matrices and ranges?
