Follow-up Comment #20, bug #36743 (group octave):
As we are approaching a 14 years timeline with this bug report, I would like
to add that both the patches and the discussion in this report no longer
applies to the current status of Octave development. Broadcasting has been
fixed for all internal array types in Octave 11. The comments about
distinguishing m files from core Octave, Octave packages, or user files is
irrelevant. Unless someone raises an objection about it, I think this bug
report should be closed.
