Hello,

with Octave 11.1.0 the pager no longer works under Windows.

Something as simple as:

more('on')
ones(100,1)

cause the command window to freeze. Looking at the process list there's a
dangling less.exe process around and by killing it the command window
resumes.

I tested this under Windows 10, 11 23H2, 11 24H2 (fresh install), using both
the new terminal app and the legacy console, using either the GUI, octave-gui
--nogui or octave-cli, using the stock package downloaded from octave.org and
one recompiled from scratch using MSYS2 and mingw-w64. Haven't found a way to
work around this issue.

May be this is related to this change:

https://octave.discourse.group/t/workaround-for-weird-behavior-of-command-window-widget-in-windows/4981/45

Haven't tried yet to recompile with this small change reverted, but I can do
it if it could be of help.

Bye,

Denis
