[bug #38825] OpenGL doesn't draw single points when no marker style is set

Follow-up Comment #10:

I'm not certain what's changed over the years, but attached are the plots i
get in Octave 11.1.0 (qt toolkit) and Matlab 2025a for :


plot([1 1 nan 1 nan 1 1])
plot([1 1 nan 1 nan 1 1],'o')


for the first producing line segments, neither octave nor matlab produce
anything for the 'center dot'.  

for the second using markers, both programs produce plots with 5 marks.  

closing report as 'fixed' by time.
