[bug #62589] dir ('NAME*/') should list contents of directories rather than directory names

Follow-up Comment #9, bug #62589 (group octave):
If I'm reading comment #7 correctly, the patch doesn't handle multiple
matching directories. Having written "a little bit more involved" sounds like
an understatement today. I guess it would require a rather large modification
of "dir.m" to actually fix this.
Feel free to start with the patch from comment #7 if you'd like to address the
issue.
