[bug #45088] [octave forge] (image) rangefilt requires domain and image to have equal number of dimensions

(file liftingbody_nasa.png)
I see:

octave:1> pkg load image
octave:2> I = imread("liftingbody_nasa.png"); 
octave:3> J = rangefilt(I);
octave:4> imshowpair(I,J,'montage')
ans = -39.771

And the output (file rangefilt_sc1.png) is pretty much what you would see on
MW web page.
