Update of bug #68209 (group octave):

                Severity:              3 - Normal => 2 - Minor
                Priority:              5 - Normal => 3 - Low
                  Status:                    None => Confirmed

Follow-up Comment #1:

The Octave coding guidelines specify that tabs should never be used for
indentation because there is no consistency for what the value of a tabstop
should be. All of Octave core is written with spaces for indentation so that
the result is the same across all platforms.

I don't see how this can reasonable be addressed without something cumbersome
like a user variable that specifies the expansion value of a tab.
