It's a bit outside my expertise, but ISTR that once the interpreter hands off
a piece of work to some external library, it's up to that library to handle
Ctrl-C.  In esp. bad cases I've seen Octave simply "crash" (= get stopped by
the Ctrl-C) in such cases, so I'm a bit wary of using Ctrl-C.
