Follow-up Comment #19, bug #45444 (group octave):

I'm reviving this report because I recently wrote a patch that incorporates
the test suite in comment #8. I adapted it to Octave coding conventions and
changed some of the structure, but it largely functions the same. 

It is indeed a gold mine of a test suite. I'm happy to announce that all tests
on the master branch of the test suite repository are now passing on Octave
with my patch (which is not yet applied to core Octave at this time).

@amro_octave, after my patch is applied, would you like to be credited in
Octave for your significant contribution? I would need your name and email if
so.
