In Octave GUI menu select: "Edit" --> "Preferences" and then select tab
"Command" and there "Font" ; tab "Editor" , scroll down to in this tab
to "Editor Styles", you can select different fonts for code and comments.
I would recommend using a fixed width font in both Command and Editor.
The good ones are: "Cascadia", "Consola" (those should be included with Win
11), "Source Code Pro" (https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Source+Code+Pro).

Sincerely,

Dmitri.
